Terms of service.

By using resumely.co.ke ("Resumely"), you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

You confirm that you are 18 or older and capable of entering into a binding agreement under Kenyan law.

Resumely is an AI-assisted resume-building service. Inputs (your one-sentence brief, LinkedIn paste, or uploaded PDF) are processed by AI models to produce a draft. You retain ownership of every input and every output.

Resumely does not warrant that AI-generated content is free of errors. You are responsible for reviewing every output before sharing it with an employer.

Pricing is published on the homepage and at /#pricing. All prices are in Kenyan shillings (KES). Single-resume purchases are non-recurring. Career Monthly and Career Yearly are recurring; you can cancel from your dashboard at any time.

Payments are processed by Paystack Kenya. By initiating a payment you agree to Paystack's terms in addition to Resumely's. We never store your card or M-Pesa PIN.

M-Pesa subscriptions approve an STK prompt each cycle (Safaricom does not currently support auto-debit). If you do not approve an STK prompt within the renewal window, your subscription moves to past_due and resume generation is paused until you re-pay.

Our refund policy is at /legal/refund-policy. In summary: if you are unhappy with a resume you have purchased, email us within 7 days of purchase with your Paystack reference. We refund in good faith subject to our review.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Resumely uses Better Auth for authentication; we do not store passwords in plaintext.

You agree not to share your account with anyone, except via the team-seats mechanism on the Recruiter plan.

You agree not to use Resumely to create fraudulent resumes — i.e. resumes that include experience you did not have. AI-generated content is your responsibility; we do not police it.

Do not use Resumely to scrape competitor sites, abuse the AI quotas, attempt to extract another user's resume, or otherwise interfere with the service. We monitor for abuse and will suspend accounts that we determine in our reasonable judgement to be acting in bad faith.

You retain ownership of your resume content. Resumely retains ownership of the platform itself (the application, our brand, our templates, and our prompts).

You grant Resumely a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process your resume content for the purpose of providing the service (e.g. running AI rewrites). We do not train any third-party model on your content.

Resumely's templates are open-source under the Reactive Resume MIT licence. You may export and use the resulting PDFs without restriction.

Resumely is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not guarantee that using Resumely will result in interviews, offers, or employment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Resumely is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. Closing your account deletes your stored resumes and personal data within 24 hours, except where we are required to retain records for tax, fraud, or legal reasons (transaction records are retained for 7 years per Kenyan law).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. We will notify you by email before any account closure where reasonably possible.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Kenya, with Nairobi as the appropriate venue.

We may update these terms with at least 14 days' notice for any material change. Continued use of Resumely after the change date constitutes acceptance.
